ThinJacks are suitable for a wide variety of applications, and are particularly effective when rust, corrosion, friction or age have made separation either extremely difficult or hazardous. A key factor in using ThinJack is where there is no suitable pulling power for separating the flanges or where the floor load cannot carry a crane or heavy jacking systems. ThinJack allows very close controlled separation of the flange, ensuring that the gap is even around all the bolts. Thus, the risk of the flange becoming skewed and jacked against the studs is minimized. Additionally, in hazardous environmental conditions where the danger of sparks must be minimized, the ThinJack process uses intrinsically safe and earthed energizing systems.
